At its meeting on July 27, 2021, the SIAE Management Board approved the proposed 50% reduction in the copyright fee set forth in the DJ license terms and conditions, reflecting the challenging situation in the industry. The measure was implemented starting September 15, 2021. However, those who had already purchased a license before the fee reduction came into effect will be able to benefit from a discount when renewing the next annual fee. Therefore, when the license is renewed for 2022 (starting in January), an amount equal to 50% of the royalties paid in 2021 will be deducted from the amount due.
Alternatively, a refund of the same amount can be requested by completing online form by October 31, 2021.
